Bad Natures is my action fantasy comic book series and mythic tragedy about a world where everyone goes to Hell because Heaven was never finished.<\/p>\n\n

Instead of a standard hero’s journey, the story features generations of characters: Gods, their children, and their children’s children, at odds with their visions of an ideal world and what it takes to build it.<\/p>\n

\nBad Natures is its own fantasy world but I’ve taken inspiration from a lot of sources, including ancient Greek and Mesopotamian mytholgies, The Dark Souls series, Killer Instinct, and even some Old Testament.<\/p>\n\n

It explores lots of themes like mankind’s relationship with the environment, jealousy, betrayal, power, responsibility, creation, expectations of the created, pushing through hardship (even if the hardship is yourself). But more importantly, I got to draw cool characters in crazy fight scenes and wild situations, which is what ultimately drove me to make this comic in the first place.<\/p>\n\n

Creating this has been a blast so far, especially getting to work with the super-talented creative team: Sherman Tibayan<\/a> on inks, Ellis Carlos<\/a> on colors, and Rick Joseph<\/a> on letters, along with Anita Okoye, Matthew Chin, Karoline Smoak, and Gaston Garcia who all helped bring this series to life.<\/p>\n\n
